Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this request has been held in the status of Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration. Although this suggestion has been open for 9 years now, it has only gained a solitary vote from the community, so we have been tempted to cancel as a low priority item ... but given the valid criticism of a new user's experience, and the fact that we could certainly do something about this if we revisited the design of the patterns experience, we have decided to keep it open for now. It's interesting that the user didn't notice the switch to the Pattern Explorer in the left window ... we could certainly highlight this with the text, a picture or some kind of arrow or prompt in the main pane where we use an html document to describe the pattern concept. In summary we intend to maintain the status as Future Consideration for now, and action this should we return to pattern usability, but potentially close this at next review if no further votes are stimulated by this update.
