IBM App Connect for Healthcare v6.0 Support for HL7 v2.3

Epic Systems Corporation, or Epic, develops and EMR product, known in whole as 'Epic' or an Epic EMR. This is used by most of healthcare customers including MSK. This EMR supports HL7 2.3. MSK has deployed ACE 12 but it only supports HL7 2.7 or HL7 2.5. Support for HL7 2.3 is critical for customer adoption. Customer is alos looking for complete implementation of HL7 spec, not just the key elements

Idea review. Thank you for taking the time to raise this suggestion. As I'm sure you're aware, but worth mentioning here for the benefit of other readers, in addition to the HL7 v2.7 model, the current versions of App Connect for Healthcare (v5 and v6) also provide an HL7 v2.5.1 model which the documentation mentions can be edited to meet the requirements of earlier versions or tweaked for your own purposes should there be situations where a user's HL7 message representations knowingly do not agree with the official HL7 standard specifications. That said, we appreciate that having an out of the box model provided would ease the integration with Epic. We will keep this requirement on our radar for the next revision of ACH - status updated to Future Consideration.
