Support implicit FTP over TLS (FTPS)

It took me a long time to found out why I could not connect to a particular FTP server using my File Output Node. Only after using other tools I found out that this server requires implicit FTP over TLS. I was really surprised to find this remark in the IBM ACE documentation:

When you use FTPS, the external FTPS server must support explicit FTP over TLS (..).

Many other IBM product support implicit FTPS (Sterling, MQ FTE, DataPower Gateways).

Please add this feature.

Idea Review. Thank you for taking the time to raise this enhancement request which we absolutely agree would benefit the product. Many aspects of the ACE code (which itself is based upon open source JSch libraries) making an implicit connection to an FTP server are known to work, but unfortunately in order to properly support implicit connections, there is work required in the area concerning session resumes. Status is updated to Future Consideration.
