This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Idea / RFE Review. After the last update in September 2020 we note that has not been further interest (comments nor voting) registered in this topic. With the architectural changes to the product in v11, it has become much more easy to clone artifacts either using the new ibm int build commands, or via file operations directly on artifacts in the run directory, so the need for this kind of duplication function in a BAR file is much more marginal. Unfortunately on this occasion we have decided not to carry this idea further forward.
RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Under Consideration. This idea for enhancement sounds conceptually very similar to the idea of Patterns, which are available to generate flows (and associated artifacts) based upon exemplar artifacts coupled with data for "points of variability". We acknowledge that doing this directly on an artifact in a BAR file (and limiting the change to a rename), rather than in a Toolkit workspace, would bring new utility. With the enhancements of source deploy and the "unzip and go" capabilities of ACEv11, the urgency / priority of need for this RFE is probably somewhat diminished compared to the situation when it was raised some years ago. That said, we will continue to monitor for popularity. Status of the RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
