Need IDOC # after SAP Request Node (ALE) in WebSphere Message Broker message flow

On the out terminal of an SAPRequest Node when creating an IDOC in ALE mode, I need for the IDOC # to be returned that it just created in SAP.

SAPRequest Node does not return
the IDOC #, which is the most important piece of information needed when a remote system, like WMB, creates an IDOC in SAP...All we get back is a transaction ID from SAP which from an audit and support standpoint is not valuable. The SAP IDOC and it's associated IDOC# is the audit mechanism in the SAP community.
In the meantime, I have attemped to invoke a standard BAPI, "INBOUND_IDOCS_FOR_TID", to get the IDOC number by passing it the TID (transactionID), but it is not working.

I have opened a PMR for this that I have included as reference with in the RFE

Hi Todd (and other readers). Many apologies, despite the prior update to this idea marking this issue as resolved (which we made in good faith based upon code inspection), it transpires that we have been too keen on this occasion and this capability has in fact not yet been implemented. Our initial analysis of the code made it look like this should work however this code only runs for inbound not outbound which uses a different API. Unfortunately, examining the code in the API in question does not actually give us the ability to retrieve the created IDoc so we will struggle to implement this easily so for now we are re-opening the idea and placing back into Future Consideration status. Apologies for any confusion caused.

Can someone tell me what release/version as this fix?

    We currently run 3 versions: WMB 8.x/IIB 10.x/ACE 11.x

    Thanks,

Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been held in Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration status. Since this suggestion was initially raised, the product has improved in this area. In more recent versions of the product the SAPRequest node returns the IDocControl Record in the logical tree which represents the IDoc which was created by the node, and this has an IDocNum field inside it which carries the data being requested here. Status is updated to delivered.

Thank you for raising this RFE. We agree that this would make a good enhancement to the product. Status of this RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

We are encounter the same situation at our current client. We need The return IDOC number for auditing purpose. The TID that is currently return is not relevant or useful for auditing.
