General proxy support for Toolkit based Connectors

Many customers run App Connect Enterprise behind a "company firewall". 
They have the need to define a proxy when connecting to external system. 
 

Looking at the ACE Toolkit only few node do provide a proxy config option - but many doesn't) 
(proxy support is only available for ACE standard nodes, some selected discovery connectors: --> HTTP Proxy policy - IBM Documentation) 

This is a real blocker / issue when deploying App Connect Enterprise inside a customer environment. 

Goal should be to have got a proxy support for each provided connector - including also things like sftp.

    Further to the update from Varun, I just wanted to record further progress on this suggestion ...


    ACEv12.0.12.0 Toolkit added support for proxying with the following 4 nodes:

    • Microsoft Azure Blob Storage Request node

    • Amazon S3 Request node

    • Microsoft Entra ID Input node

    • Microsoft Entra ID Request node


    ACEv13.0.1.0 Toolkit added support for proxying with the following 9 nodes:

    • Amazon SQS Request node

    • GitHub Input node

    • GitHub Request node

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Input node

    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales Request node

    • Microsoft Exchange Input node

    • Microsoft Exchange Request node

    • Microsoft Teams Input node

    • Microsoft Teams Request node


    We expect this list to grow based on customer demand (and other product priorities) so if users would like to add further suggestions to this idea, we will leave it open for the purpose of consolidating this feedback.

    Hi Chris,

    We are bringing proxy support to a lot of connectors requested by DATAEV. Hence marking this particular one as future consideration.
    If there are more connectors DATAEV wants to have proxy support on, then please do send those our way.
