App Connect Dashboard UI for Integration Server does not alert when configuration is wrong

We observed the issue while updating the new policy configuration to the integration server with NodePort service from app connect dashboard UI in CP4I, we were able to update the configuration to the integration server on UI and it was displaying the config got updated at UI side without any errors but it was not reflecting into the actual integration server container, it was referring to older reference.

In app connect operator we found that it was giving the reconcile errors and it never updates the actual integration server.

Ask here is that, if some values are expected or something is going wrong in the background UI should alert with required msg or inputs missing validation errors.

Thank you for taking the time to raise this suggestion - we agree it would be helpful to give deeper diagnostics in circumstances where a crash loop backoff is occurring. We have now updated the product so that when an Integration Runtime is being updated it shows in a new status of "updating" to try and make it more obvious if a change is underway. However, we have further thoughts about additional debug we could provide beyond this, but the implementation is not straight forward for all circumstances. Given that in practice users would typically find themselves reaching for the OpenShift console for deeper understanding of why the crash loop backoffs are occurring, we feel that at least the user has alternative means of making progress in the interim, so given the difficulty of implementation and the availability of another approach, it is likely that this will be a low priority for us in the immediate future, but we would like to keep the idea open to allow for the popularity of the idea to grow.
