Current implementation for authentication to AWS resources like S3 requires IAM AccessID and secret. These are long-lived credentials, and they require rotation as per our security posture. At scale this could pose an issue and result in redeployments of the applications. This is not ideal and imposes significant work to automate this process.
The ask is to add OIDC authentication for AWS resources to allow for short-lived credentials and eliminate the need for secret rotation.
