Capture properties missing from the shipped, default / templated server.conf.yaml file

ACE Resource Manager properties documented within RuntimeConfiguration.xsd missing within templated server.conf.yaml

ACE ships a default / templated server.conf.yaml file which externalises all of the configuration properties available to customise the behaviour of an ACE Integration Server at run-time.

However, there are properties that are missing from the shipped server.conf.yaml.

We had to contact IBM to verify that these properties are in fact available to be populated within server.conf.yaml / server.conf.yaml override files, but are omitted from the shipped default / templated file.

This makes it difficult to source these properties, the precise property names, property values, basic documentation or guidance on how to set these properties.

Examples of properties available within the ACE root install directory file: ...\common\schemas\RuntimeConfiguration\RuntimeConfiguration.xsd, but not captured within the shipped, default / templated server.conf.yaml:

JSON / objectStructure
ExecutionGroup / failedMessageWaitTime
SocketConnectionManager / maxKeepAliveRequests

...this is not an exhaustive list.

...these properties are key configurable properties, plainly available on Message Broker / IIB to be configured.

This request is to ask for these / other missing properties to be exposed within future server.conf.yamls, to make the server.conf.yaml files complete.

Thank you for taking the time to raise this enhancement request. In general the default / templated server.conf.yaml file which is shipped by ACE is intended to expose a set of properties which have been tested and are supported. There are some situations where the runtime may react to a deliberately undocumented property (which could later become fully supported or in fact be removed or altered). There may also be some cases (either by mistake, due to desired avoidance of unwanted or untested behaviours, or through deliberate attempts to simplify product behaviours) where properties that were exposed in the architectures of the fore-runner products WMB and IIB are not carried forward. Regarding the particular example mentioned, we are supportive of the idea of exposing SocketConnectionManager / maxKeepAliveRequests in the server.conf.yaml file so if you'd like to raise a request for that specific property we would be happy to move it to Future Consideration status and factor it in to future plans.
