Async to preserve hardlinks on the remote system

If existing hard links are modified in a different site from where they were originally created, async creates new files instead of preserving the hard links. Hard links are not known across other file systems, they are only known locally.

    The team determined this is a bug and we've opened an internal ticket to track this.

    Managing hard links is not an easy task, as it's not possible to distinguish the original file from linked one (both are an entry in a folder.. pointing to the same inode).

    Did you have a look at async dedup capability ?
