Connect: Aspera Connect download only suggests latest version. Centos 7.9 will NOT work with this version, suggest an older one

The latest Aspera Connect has library requirements that mean it will NOT work with still supported versions (but older) versions of Linux. Specifically Centos 7.9 needs a version a few back.

You must be aware of what OS is trying to download using your "automatic" download when an aspera server forwards the user/client who does not have a working aspera connect to your downloads. Having the users "automatically" download the latest (for them non-working) version just makes more work for everyone. They are confused and not-helped. Rather, I would request you suggest to them that for OS blah they need version blah of Aspera Connect and aim them there....

Hi! Thank you for getting in touch.

Many previous versions of Connect are available on Fix Central and on Passport Advantage.

If you are running Faspex 5, you can host which version of connect you want people to install.

Please let me know if you are able to access those versions you need through Fix Central or Passport Advantage, and what Aspera server you are running.

    Wishing you well,
