Desktop App automation should skip recalled/draft packages instead of blocking auto-download queue

Problem Statement:
When Desktop App automated downloads encounter a recalled, draft, or otherwise unavailable package, the automation workflow stops processing subsequent packages instead of skipping the invalid item.

Observed Behavior:
Customer reported automated downloads failing with error:
"Account could not find all automated items. Check Automation rules"

Log analysis showed package MSX_VFX_260414_003 returning HTTP 404 during transfer spec generation.

The package appears to:

  • be recalled/draft/unavailable
  • have size=0
  • lack valid downloadable content/file association

Despite this, the Desktop App continues attempting to process the package through automation. The failed transfer spec generation interrupts the queue and prevents subsequent valid packages from downloading automatically until the problematic package is manually archived or removed.

Expected Behavior:
Desktop App automation should:

  • detect packages that are not downloadable
  • gracefully skip recalled/draft/unavailable packages
  • continue processing remaining valid packages in the automation queue
