AoC: Timestamp-Based File Visibility Filtering for Files Shared Folders

Many customers upload content directly into the storage location referenced by an AoC Files App Shared Folder. During the upload process, files may become visible to users before they have been fully written to storage, which can lead to incomplete or inaccessible files appearing in the Shared Folder view.

Requested Enhancement: Implement a configurable timestamp-based file visibility filter that excludes files modified within a specified time window (for example, the last 60 seconds) from being displayed in AoC Files App Shared Folders.

Benefits:

  • Prevents users from seeing files that are still being uploaded or copied.

  • Reduces confusion caused by incomplete or inaccessible files.

  • Improves the overall user experience for Shared Folder browsing.

  • Provides a simple and configurable mechanism to accommodate different upload workflows and file sizes.

Suggested Configuration:

  • Default delay: 60 seconds

  • Configurable per Shared Folder or globally

  • Files become visible only after they have not been modified for the configured time period

This enhancement would be particularly beneficial in environments where automated workflows or external processes place files directly into the Shared Folder storage location rather than uploading through AoC.
