Increase the number of connections between CICS and IIB that are self-installed

Increase the number of connections between CICS and IIB that are self-installed, as the maximum alocated is 100 even when is configured more than 100 conections in ReceiveCount parâmeter of IPCON CICS resource. Through the so-called TS014867793, we learned that the maximum number of connections in IPICON AUTO INSTALLED between CICS and IIB is 100. We had problems recently, our IPICONs of an important system, hit the maximum limit at some times and logged a shortage message in the IIB log. We suggest that the value of the connection be doubled.

Idea review. Thank you for taking the time to raise this suggestion. ACE does not currently have an externalised property to control the specification for how many connections should be formed from ACE. At first investigation we suspect that ACE is inheriting the default which can be configured by CTG applications through ctg.ini or system properties as documented here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cics-tg-zos/9.0?topic=adapter-ecimanagedconnectionfactory These settings would naturally go alongside other CICS configuration within either an ACE CICS Policy (on distributed platforms for ACEv11 / 12) or an IIB CICS configurable service (on zOS for IIBv10.1). Given this difference in required implementation, for anyone commenting on this idea in future, it would be helpful to know the desired platform / version of the product they are currently utilizing. Status of the idea is updated to Future Consideration.

CICS Development: This is a requirement on IIB and not CICS. CICS will use the minimum number of sessions requested by the client or set in the autoinstall model. It looks like IIB always requests 100 receive sessions and looking at the IBM App Connect documentation it does not look like this can be configured. Will transfer the Idea to App Connect for comment.
