This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

As part of this discussion there are two key components to MFT, the MQ Queue Manager and the MQ MFT Agent. MQ MFT Agents are free when they connect to MQ Queue Managers licensed under a MQ Advanced entitlement. This entitlement can also be provided by CP4I when MQ is deployed using the MQ Advanced ratio.
IBM provides support for the MFT agent code running within a supported container environment. Customers can decide to build their own container image and we provide a GitHub repo for accelerating this process or they can pull our container from Docker Hub. The image hosted on Docker Hub is provided under the IBM MQ Advanced for Developers license to demonstrate the capabilities, and therefore non-Developer usage would require customers to rebuild the image using our GitHub repository.
If you would like to discuss further, please contact me directly.
Thanks for raising this enhancement, as you note we have already provided an "MFT agent container image" on DockerHub here. Customers can freely download and use in partnership with their MQ Advanced or Cloud Pak for Integration entitlements. We do not have immediate plans to integrate this into our MQ Operator, however we will continue to re-evaluate this based on demand.
Thanks for raising this - moved to the MQ ideas list so that it can be appropriately prioritised.
