Add missing GitOps functionality

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

The new GitOps feature that comes with firmware 10.6.0 is really nice but unfortunately it is missing some really important functionality that would make it useful in the real world.

  1. The GitOps templates do not support object name changes.
  2. The GitOps templates do not support filtering, i.e. it is not possible to ignore objects on GitOps read.

Why is it so important:

  1. In almost every DataPower configuration there are at least a few objects that have different names in different environments.
  2. There are always objects that may not exist in all environments and therefore filtering is a key feature.

Hi Pierce - Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on our GitOps feature.

Regarding your specific request, we appreciate your interest in exploring custom template capabilities. While some of the functionality you're looking for may be possible with custom templating, we want to acknowledge that it can be complex and requires careful consideration of certain "gotchas" that can impact the user experience.

We're open to considering this request as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the GitOps feature. For more information on custom templating and the related caveats around idempotency, we recommend reviewing the following white paper: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7085892.

We appreciate your input and look forward to continuing the conversation about how we can improve our GitOps feature to better meet your needs.
