Event Streams Schema Registry: Make route customizable via operator to allow round-robin

The current schema registry route being automatically create is using "sticky" connections via the route meaning load is not distributed correctly to  all replicas.

The route currently is not customizable.

OpenShift already supports different behaviours for routing work to pods and these are defined in the OpenShift Documentation. The behaviours are controlled through annotations and the customer could have used the haproxy.router.openshift.io/balance=roundrobin annotation. Furthermore, Event Streams allows you to customise any of its endpoints and one of the options allows you to add annotations to the routes. The Event Streams CR snippet below shows how you can do that:

      apicurioRegistry:
    endpoints:
    - annotations:
    haproxy.router.openshift.io/balance: roundrobin
    containerPort: 9443
    name: external
    type: route

Be aware though that there is a bug in the operator so it doesn’t currently honour the annotation property but that will be fixed soon.In meanwhile do explore above documentation by OpenShift

Hi @Guest , would you explain more details on the requirement, why you need to change it
We can consider it for future releases if we get more details and find it useful for customers.
