Enable a solution for EC2 Re-hydration, disconnected scanner and duplicated software

In a cloud environment, re-hydration of EC2 instances (destroying old instances then replacing with a fresh, updated instance to apply security patches, OS upgrades, or configuration changes, often automated to avoid downtime) is completed on a frequent cadence.

Per documentation the endpoint_id.txt contains the host name and the time stamp of the first setup of the disconnected scanner which becomes the identifier of a computer. When re-hydration occurs the EC2 instance gets replaced and the disconnected scanner is re-installed; a new identifier is created for the computer even though its the same 'logical' EC2 instance.

This is causing the discovered software counts to be duplicated in License Metric Tool.

Need a solution provided by the vendor to keep the EC2 instance tracking the same across the re-hydration efforts to prevent duplication of licensing within ILMT?
