Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,

Post your ideas
  1. Post an idea.

  2. Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.

Add support for LDAPS in MQExplorer and JMSAdmin

When connecting to a remote JNDI repository via MQExplorer or JMSAdmin you can use LDAP. If LDAPS is not available (confirmed in Case TS011889627) we are forced to use LDAP and thus our data is unencrypted on the wire. MQExplorer and JMSAdmin should support LDAPS if they support LDAP.

We will look at adding information to the official documentation showing how this can be done.

(Service can read the material that was posted, so they should be able to repeat it.)

    Hi Mark,

Corporate Firewalls block access to your personal NAS device. Can you post the contents here? If MQ can already do this I will reopen my Case with IBM to update them. They suggested I open the RFE.

This can be already done without requiring any product changes. See https://marketaylor.synology.me/?p=1399
