No versioning in OSGI Bundle names

The "WebSphere MQ" OSGi bundles for example "com.ibm.mq.osgi.java_7.1.0.4.jar" include the version instead of using a version independent name "com.ibm.mq.osgi.java.jar" like DB2 does. In consequence all CICS JVM profiles must be changed at an MQ version update

    There is now a very practical workaround since V9.0 :
    /usr/lpp/mqm/java/lib/OSGiCurrent/ ls -lsia
    com.ibm.mq.osgi.allclient.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.mq.osgi.allclient_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.mq.osgi.allclientprereqs.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.mq.osgi.allclientprereqs_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.mq.osgi.java.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.mq.osgi.java_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.commonservices.j2se.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.commonservices.j2se_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.jms.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.jms_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.jms.prereq.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.jms.prereq_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.nls.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.nls_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq.nls.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq.nls_9.1.0.2.jar
    com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq.prereq.jar -> ../OSGi/com.ibm.msg.client.osgi.wmq.prereq_9.1.0.2.jar

    I assume this RFE is likely "delivered"

    Best Regards

    Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
    Product - IBM MQ

    For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Connectivity and Integration
    Product - IBM MQ

    The current number formatting is a very Eclipse Plugin style of working; therefore we are considering what changes we can make in future releases to provide both Eclipse-centric and OSGi-centric packages.
