Defer client connection refresh when updating SSL keystore on QM

Currently, when updating SSL keystore for a QM, a QM-wide refresh of SSL channel connections is initiated, forcing all clients to drop and re-establish their connections. This creates considerable coordination overhead due to the impact of this operation on a shared MQ environment.

We would like a selectable option to defer re-authentication of connections to the next time the client attempts a connection. This would significantly reduce the change management overhead imposed on the support team that manages our MQ environment

    Hi Mark,

This is quite strongly related to https://integration-development.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/MESNS-I-125 which has considerably more votes, but was raised more recently. It's fairly clear that there's a reasonable amount of demand given that combined, these two ideas alone go above 50 votes, and I'm sure there's more duplicates around that are all along the same lines that would get the votes even higher.

With security becoming such an important aspect in modern systems, it's vital that mechanisms are in place to make using this security as minimally intrusive to day to day operations as possible.

Would you consider merging this idea into the aforementioned one?

A solution to this is something we would like to deliver in a future version of MQ
