IAM Integration for webMethods SaaS Gen2

We would like to request a new feature for IBM webMethods SaaS Gen2 to support an IAM federation / Single Sign-On (SSO) integration with Google Cloud Identity (GCP).

The goal is to establish an identity federation between the IBM webMethods SaaS Gen2 platform (hosted on AWS) and GCP Cloud Identity, allowing end users to authenticate using the customer’s corporate IAM system and enabling centralized access management.

This integration aims to:

  • Centralize authentication and security policies through GCP Cloud Identity
  • Enforce customer security and compliance requirements, including:
    • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
    • User lifecycle management (joiner / mover / leaver)
  • Eliminate the need to manage local user accounts within webMethods SaaS Gen2
  • Simplify administration of users, groups, and roles through IAM federation
  • Align webMethods SaaS Gen2 with enterprise-grade IAM standards expected by customers
