Encryption at rest for Distributed MQ data without the use of AMS (i.e. without SSL certificates)

An option to encrypt MQ data (logs, queue files, config files, etc) without the need to setup AMS and use SSL certificates would allow us to meet regulatory and internal risk policies without the SSL cert management requirements. Essentially, if t...

Add the ability to downgrade a multiplatform MQ Queue Manager after a major version upgrade

Making it possible to downgrade a Qmgr to an older version of MQ after an upgrade, would make it easier and quicker to backout upgrades. There would be less impact to the environment and the applications if Qmgrs could be more easily moved between...

Apply security patches to MQ while the software is running and/or libraries are in-use

We have an internal policy which requires security vulnerabilities to be patched within 7-90 days (depending on the severity of the vulnerability). If we were able to rollout patches to MQ without the need to cycle Queue Managers or applications, ...

We would like a service that when given a queue, a list of messages in that queue including the headers: position, priority, put datetime, size, source, replayed, message id, and transaction id are returned. Currently we can only get the id of the messages.

Kafka Source and Sink Conenctor to run as Service within IBM MQ

9.3.3 allows support for Kafka Source and Sink conenctors. Can the conenctors be part of the product and be added as service within IBM MQ product. Right now we have to setup a different service managed fully outside IBM MQ. Is it possible to have...

Supress a AMQ error code for a certain ip's

F5 is performing "https" monitoring on MQ servers. From MQ9.2 “AMQ9638E” and “AMQ9999E” introduced to detect unauthorised connection and termination. This "https" monitoring is very useful to detect MQ hung. However, because of this new error code...

Add an option to Authinfo records to allow the MCA UserID in the channel definition to override the userID passed by the application (e.g. ADOPTCTX(MCA))

Looking for a way to override the ID that's being checked for permissions/access in MQ after an application ID/password has been authenticated against the OS or LDAP. This would allow for additional flexibility with the way access to MQ is organiz...

Add the SecurityPolicy=UserExternal setting/option (or something like it) to platforms other than UNIX (Windows, IBMi and NonStop, in particular)

This option would allow us to avoid creating a service ID for every channel and application that uses MQ in our enterprise. Currently we have several thousand IDs created on various platforms across the enterprise just to allow permissions to be g...

When using the v3 version of the MQ REST API’s Get Message service: GET /messaging/qmgr/{qmgrName}/queue/{queueName}/message we would like the MQ Put DateTime returned in one of the HTTP response headers which it currently is not.

We feel that this is a valuable piece of information to obtain when reading queued messages from MQ to know when a message was first written to the queue
