Shape the future of IBM!

Path query parameter value validation Merged

If a schema is defined for path query parameter, the request should be validated against the schema.

Currently it's only rejected when query parameter is missing completely.
For simple types (e.g. string) the value is validated and only logs out an error message but it's not rejecting.

For complex types (e.g. array) there is no value validation.

Please add value validation support for all supported types in OAS 3 (arrays, enums...).

Additionally add a switch to x-imb-configuration, let the API provider decide if a failed validation should reject the request.

E.g. like:

x-ibm-configuration:
enforce-parameter-validation: query

Please note that the "Not under consideration" status is only applied because we consider this to be a duplicate. Idea 1024 is still being considered for implementation.

We are marking this as a duplicate and merging it with Idea 1024. As you pointed out, they are very similar. Merging them moved your votes over to 1024, so we will not lose track of who is interested in this function.
