RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate. Despite not being able to justify the business prioritization of this feature request up to now, we still see value in having this improvement to usability in offering a configurable ESQL templating capability. For this reason we will keep the RFE open and continue to monitor for popularity. Status maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.

Agreed; thanks for raising this requirement. It's one of those very helpful features that, say, the Java nodes have where the Toolkit can provide an appropriate template for the desired style of processing. We'll look to add this in for ESQL in an appropriate follow-on release.
