RFE Review. Although we have not yet managed to prioritize the implementation of this feature we continue to monitor its popularity. Status maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.

It would be really good to know at either development or latest deployment time when there is a missmatch between datatypes. It is most likely annoying that you only get into trouble at runtime after doing such kind of incorrect coding.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

Thank you for raising this RFE. We agree that the usability of the IIB Toolkit ESQL editor would be improved through the addition of the validation rules which you suggest in the two use cases. We will consider implementing this in a future release. Status of this RFE is updated to Uncommitted Candidate.
