Enabling Archive accounting and resource statistics of all msgflows in a broker
Problem statement: It is highly recommended by IBM to enable the Archive Accounting statistics(with output formats xml, smf) and Resource Statistics for all the brokers to capture the data for Omegamon monitoring. We issued following commands to enable these statistics based on our requirements. 1) Enabling Archive Accounting statistic with xml,smf by customizing and submitting BIPCHMS. mqsichangeflowstats -a -g -j -c active -n advanced -t basic -o xml,smf 2) Activate resource statistics by customizing and submitting BIPCHRS mqsichangeresourcestats -c active
The above command enables statistics for all the msgflows and execution groups (Integration servers) in the mentioned broker. However, when there are new msgflows or execution groups (Integration servers) they are not enabled by default and we are required to issue these commands every time. We would request that when the broker has had commands issued to it that indicate enabling these statistics for the whole broker, then any new objects would inherit that when deployed rather than defaulting to no statistics. Either that or perhaps the IIB product could provide some kind of new variable setting that indicates the default behavior desired when new objects are deployed.
