multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is must have requirement in today's remote working model to securely validate user identity. Allowing AHST/Aspera Share UN/PW authentication doesn't seems to be an adequate security.

The Aspera Web Apps like Aspera on Cloud, Faspex and Shares can be configured to authorize end users using SAML. Then your SAML configuration can be setup to authorize with Multi-factor-authentication.

The Aspera Connect client application can also authorize against the Web Applications with SAML and MFA.

Hello, I would like more detail on this.

What is the initial use case you would like this for? Is it HSTS and Shares on premises or with AoC? What is your configuration, please, and whatever other details you can provide.

    Thank you,

FYI. AoC Added MFA for IBMid login. So is this no longer needed?

As per IBM, non of their apps support this... and they also dont support API tokens that would at least allow us to go around our MFA requirements in automatic downloads.

I.e. "Neither Connect, Cargo, nor Drive support MFA, only SAML auth. They require either authenticating via SAML or the built in web app authentication. They will not work with API tokens."
