Validate and Certify Kerberos Authentication Support for Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 (R12 future upgrade) on Linux using webMethods JDBC Adapter

Reference Idea:
https://integration-development.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/WEBMCA-I-11

Summary:

Request validation and official support certification for Kerberos authentication between the webMethods JDBC Adapter running on Linux and Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 using the Oracle JDBC driver (ojdbc8). This validation should confirm support for Active Directory-integrated Kerberos authentication in enterprise environments. The current Oracle environment is Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0.

Business Requirement:

  • Allegion currently uses Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 in production.
  • Oracle EBS R12 is a critical enterprise application and future upgrades must continue to support Kerberos-based authentication through the JDBC Adapter.
  • Organizations running webMethods on Linux require secure AD-integrated authentication without relying on database credentials.
  • Official certification will provide confidence for production deployments and future Oracle platform upgrades.

Requested Outcome:

  • Validate Kerberos authentication for Oracle Database 11.2.0.3 using the webMethods JDBC Adapter on Linux.
  • Certify support with Java 11 and webMethods Integration Server 10.15.
  • Publish configuration guidance and supported version matrix.
  • Ensure compatibility considerations for Oracle EBS R12 environments and future Oracle database upgrade paths.
