Show all DFDL errors in ExcpList / logs

When a DFDL parsing fails only the fatal error is in the ExcpList or logs. Due to the nature of DFDL the root cause can be earlier in the message but will be hidden from the logs

RFE Review. Although this RFE has not proved popular with voting in the community so far, on this occasion we intend to leave it open and continue to monitor. The behaviour of the C DFDL implementation (in the product runtime) and the Java DFDL implementation (in the product Toolkit) are slightly different, which causes the behaviours mentioned whereby interim parsing attempts made in the Toolkit lead to more detailed logging in some circumstances. Providing some of this feedback in runtime logging as an opt-in for some users would make an improvement for the product. Status of the RFE is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.

Thanks for raising this requirement; we strive to make our tools as easy to use as possible, including the ability to easily diagnose problems. This is a good requirement and we'll look to implement in a follow-on release or fixpack.
