Tabular View for Data Mapper

Provide a tabular view of a Visual Map.

Whilst the drag and drop paradigm of the Visual Mapper is good for the actual design and build work it doesn't provide an effective reporting mechanism for sharing the details of the map.

Also for complex maps it can be difficult to follow all the connections, in particular what is happening in the myriad of submaps.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Under Consideration. We agree that having a tabular view as an alternative additional to the existing view (which we believe the majority of users would still prefer) would enhance the value of the graphical mapper. Any future design would need to be careful to keep the views as easy to understand for new users of the technology. There is a wider current backdrop of some criticism of the Eclipse IDE for being too developer-centric, and there is a general perception that most parts of the platform could do with simplification rather than new additional options. Given this, whilst we are moving the status of this RFE to Uncommitted Candidate, this enhancement is unlikely to be prioritised in the short term.
