Simple enablement of cache

The oracle integration product has a great feature where you can check a box on a service request node that enables caching.
With this option checked the , the flow control first checks the cache to see if the data is there and if so it returns it quickly. If not the the call is made to the back end and the result stored in the cache for the next time.

Whilst this can be done in common code/sub flows but it would be a good feature to have as base, like oracle does

Idea / RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this suggestion has been in status Uncommitted Candidate / Future Consideration. Despite the relatively modest return of 2 votes since this suggestion was initially made back in 2014, we still see value in the idea. Given the new unit testing capabilities provided in v12 which include options for generating trained stubs, we are now in a much better position to exploit this kind of area. Whilst not a currently high business priority we're keen to keep this idea open so that others can register interest. For now, status is maintained as Future Consideration.

Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
    Brand - WebSphere
    Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
    Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB

Thanks for raising this requirement. It's a slightly unsafe feature (it does make the assumption that the service request does not change any state, a property which is not always known by the caller), but I can see that there might be some use-cases where such an option would be useful. Thanks!
