RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate. Despite not being able to justify the business prioritization of this feature request up to now (no further votes on this RFE since it was initially raised eight and a half years ago), we still feel this is a very relevant usability enhancement. In future we would still like to offer the ability to configure monitoring events on subflow udns so we'll continue to monitor. Status of this RFE is maintained as Uncommitted Candidate.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Yes I see this as a very good use case, I think the key here is to get access to the actual message that was propagated. We can add support for this by adding an output terminal to the HL7Output node which propagates the completed HL7 message (completed with leading/trailing bytes). The key use case is then to wire up that terminal to something like a queue so that the messages can be logged. Alternatively the message can be captured using the Record/Replay feature in Message Broker v8. The Record/Replay approach has the advantage that the built-in web administration application can be used to search/filter messages and optionally replay if required.
