This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Creating new message flows during the instantiation of a pattern is a very nice feature. However, right now it is not possible to add monitoring events to a node using the WMB Node API.
There are already dummy methods defined (addMonitorEvent, getMonitoringEvents, removeMonitorEvent, setMonitorEvents) which I was told are unimplemented yet and therefore marked as protected.
I would strongly suggest to implement these methods to handle monitoring events as well.

RFE Review. Apologies for the length of time this RFE has been in the status of Uncommitted Candidate. Despite not being able to justify the business prioritization of this feature request up to now, and the likely rather limited appeal, we still see value in the enhancement and have seen use cases that would have been assisted with this feature. Given these aspects we will continue to monitor and maintain the status as Uncommitted Candidate.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thanks for raising this requirement. As you correctly identify, there is no API-driven way of creating and manipulating monitoring events today, but being able to do this is highly desirable, and consistent with the product's strategy of being able to do all development and operational tasks through programming interfaces.
