This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

RFE Review. Although this request has been open a long time, and proportionally currently holds a low number of votes, it still remains of future interest to us. We note that our administrative API has evolved significantly in this area - we now have options in the Web UI (which as our main administrative console is where we would more likely implement this kind of feature rather than in Toolkit which has the visual debugger) for resetting, starting and stopping both usertrace and servicetrace. We don't yet have a means of gathering the trace for display, although we have added similar visualisations for administration log messages and activity log messages. So - good progress made as the product continues to evolve in this area, but more that we could do for sure. Status of the RFE currently kept as Uncommitted Candidate.
Due to processing by IBM, this request was reassigned to have the following updated attributes:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
For recording keeping, the previous attributes were:
Brand - WebSphere
Product family - Connectivity and Integration
Product - IBM Integration Bus (WebSphere Message Broker) - IIB
Thanks for raising this requirement, and agree completely. There are several log and message types (service trace, user trace, system log messages) that are only accessible from the machine on which the broker is located, and it's certainly desirable to be able to access those remotely and using other tools. Indeed, if you look at the more recently developed log types (e.g. V8 activity log) you'll see that these are already accessible through remote and local administration tools - including MB Explorer. We'd like to enable a similar flexibility in the other trace types too.
