For directory integration of Aspera Shares: allow to define multiple hosts that run the directory services

Today we can only put in 1 directory server per service integration in Aspera Shares, if that server is not available all these services are unavailable until it comes back up and the background jobs go over all the dependencies. In heavy duty environments this can take hours.

Having the ability to define a secondary (or more) servers allows for better availability.

SAML is not an option for us as we have a lot of people logging in from devices that are not under our control (its actually our main use case for having Shares).

As for my initial point, a load balanced directory server could indeed be an option. Will have to check with that team.

    Thanks

Hi - We are considering depreciating directory server for security concerns and are recommending SAML authentication instead since it provides HA opportunities. Have you considered moving to SAML to achieve your HA goal? If not, have you considered fronting the directory servers with a load balancer?
