This is an IBM Automation portal for Integration products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Idea review. This behaviour has now been enhanced in ACEv12.0.7.0 ... In the Web UI you can now navigate to a message flow, and from the menu in the top right of the tile you can now choose to "configure monitoring". This feature is described in the release blog here: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/integration/blogs/ben-thompson1/2022/11/22/ace-12-0-7-0
Hi,
as someone who is migrating from IIB v10 to ACE v12, this feature is much needed
RFE Review. Thank you for taking the time to submit this idea for enhancement, which we agree would help some users of the product. With the architectural changes which were introduced from ACEv11, it became possible to persist settings for monitoring (and several other aspects of similar server behaviours such as flow statistics for example) across server restarts. We also observe that with this kind of setting (especially when operating through the web UI) there is also a demand for making transitory changes which would not be desirable to persist on restart... which is also possible! Given these options, and the fact that monitoring can be switched on at multiple levels of the product hierarchy, and also the option to "inherit" from higher levels, when we initially implemented the Web UI options we deliberately tried to keep things simple for the majority of simple users (knowing that for more advanced use cases, the more fullsome admin REST API is always available). Given that we have the capabilities to make these changes, we could enhance the UX to meet this request, but would need to engage with our Design team to ensure we don't confuse users ... especially in circumstances where when "switching off again" users can choose whether to turn off monitoring or switch back to "inheriting" from a higher level in the hierarchy. In summary - a good requirement which we agree with the concept of, but whose implementation does carry some complexity for us which we'd need to ensure is handled well to meet all our users' needs. Status is updated to Future Consideration.
