Use WS-Security with the key, which is not known in advance

We would like to ask Your to implement the possibility to use WS-Security with the key, which is not known in advance also in other formats than binary one.

As it is described in IBM App Connect Documentation on page Policy Sets and Policy Set Bindings editor: Key Information panel

  • Key Name: When you require message level protection on the inbound signature token and the key is not known in advance, enter Any or leave blank.

  • Key Alias: When you require message level protection on the inbound signature token and the key is not known in advance, enter Any or leave blank.

Currently it works only with Key in Binary Security Token format. We think, that this should work for any supported format of key described in Web Services Security X.509 Certificate Token Profile Version 1.1.1 for Key Identifier, Binary Security Token and Issuer and Serial Number.

RFE Review. Thank you for taking the time to submit this idea for enhancement, which we have not seen requested before. Given this, whilst we agree it would bring value to the platform, but it is currently assessed as a low business priority for us. Status of the idea is updated to Future Consideration.
