Agree, we should be able to support any S3 compatible storage, esp when the specs of our offerings support S3 compatible storages.
We have tons of S3 compatible storages today. Not sure if all of them can be supported using a single node. But if being S3 compatible is like complying to a specs, then we should increasingly look forward to support these. Not just AWS S3 and IBM S3
My customer has scality storage provider and scality provides s3 compatible storage. would appreciate to get this through, due to unavailability of support we had to put ODF for this requirement only for ACE Dashboard.
We also have an internal S3-compatible storage, that supports using the AWS authentication mechanism. It would be great to have the S3 credentials Configuration type support passing in custom CA certs, OR ignoring SSL certificate validation OR allow environment variables to be set on the content-server container in the Dashboard custom resource.
