Enhance the dmpmqcfg command with an -MQ_Appliance option to filter out inconsistencies from other platforms (i.e. Linux, AIX, Windows etc.) when migrating to an MQ Appliance

Queue Managers with thousands of objects would require too much time to manually massage (convert) the output of the dmpmqcfg to comply with one compatible with the MQ Appliance e.g. MQ Exits, SSLKEYR, Specific System objects, Local IP Address, CC...

Enhancements needed for MQ Web Console to rule out third party administration tools

We are planning to move away from MQExplorer and other third party administration tools and switch to MQ Web Console as the go-to utility, however most of the basic functionalities which we use on our day to day basis do not exist in the MQ Consol...

Add an option to control the error log files in MQ

Currently in IBM MQ, there are only 3 error log files which are bring generated and rotated automatically when the server runs. The files are known as AMQERR01.LOG, AMQERR02.LOG, AMQERR03.LOG. My idea is to add an option, whether by a runtime conf...

MQ Explorer: Implement access to Windows certificate and key store

Hi all! In our installation, we have ~100 developers accessing our queue managers. We have the requirement to enforce certificate-based user authentication for all of them. The number of TLS and/or X.509 experts among them is limited. To reduce th...

Provide an option to decouple IBM MQ on Unix/Linux from the mqm user and mqm group and setuid/setgid binaries

IBM MQ v9.2 provides a unzippable version of MQ that no longer requires the mqm user and mqm group or setuid/setgid binaries. This unzippable install is only supported on containers and is also only being maintained in the CD release. Please provi...

MQ FDC limits and housekeeping logic

Bank would like to be able to set a limits on FDC, so they would not take up all available space and thus makes whole MQ manager unresponsive. Currently there is no any functionality in MQ, which manage the "expiry", archiving or deletion of FDCs....

When using the v3 version of the MQ REST API’s Get Message service: GET /messaging/qmgr/{qmgrName}/queue/{queueName}/message we would like the MQ Put DateTime returned in one of the HTTP response headers which it currently is not.

We feel that this is a valuable piece of information to obtain when reading queued messages from MQ to know when a message was first written to the queue
