Currently there is a restriction for IIB that Windows users can only have 12 characters and linux 8. See the following: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/wmbhelp/v9r0m0/topic/com.ibm.etools.mft.doc/ap03986_.htm
The issue is that we are trying to sell IIB to a customer who has their IT out sourced and their vendor runs both the servers and their Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and this company has a standard for the existing AD forest where users are named DOMAIN\first.last or email@example.com
This causes an issue with IIB as most of their users have names that are longer with 12 characters, which leaves them with only 2 choices: 1) change the existing user's name 2) create new users just for IIB
This has been raised as a negative reason to buy IIB
